Introduction
Integrations List
Click on Integrations on the left to head over to the Integrations page and select the application you want to use:
Integrations Type
Captain Data supports all types of integrations:
- API Keys
- Native (Oauth2) connectors like Google Connect
- Basic authentication (user login + password)
- Chrome Extension to synchronize social networks seamlessly
Setting up an integration is seamless and generally takes less than 30 seconds.
The key difference between a user and an integration on Captain Data is that a user represents an entity that interacts with the platform, while an integration represents the specific connection between software applications, databases, APIs, and services, configured and managed by the user.
PLEASE NOTE: A user can have multiple integrations. Therefore, when creating for example a new LinkedIn Account integration for a none existent user, a user will be automatically created if you have enough user's slots.
Delete account integration
To delete an account integration, you need to go to the Platform Integration page, select the social media/platform integration. Then next to the account you want to remove, click on Actions > Delete account.
You might want to delete an account when you want to configure it another way :
- If you are the only one using your own Social media account: The best way is to set it up normally: For example, with LinkedIn, check out this article: Setup Linkedin Integration and Refresh the Cookies
The label "Extension" and the "refresh button" will appear next to it.
Note: You cannot be owner of multiple social media account with one Captain Data user. So you will see only a refresh button for one account you have set up from this Captain Data user.
- In the case you want to use someone else's account, using the "Shared" feature:
Sharing link feature: use someone else's account (external user)
The label "Shared" would be display next to the account.
To refresh the cookie of this integration, you must send the link to the owner.
This is a good solution when you want to synchronize multiple social accounts with Chrome Sessions.
⚠️ It's crucial to note that if you have deleted an integration, you might want to check if some schedules were using this account. Therefore, you will need to edit all your schedules that were linked to this account with a new one. ⚠️
